2024-2025 TIDE SWIM TEAM FEES
GENERAL INFORMATION
- TIDE is a year round swim team. Parents are required to agree to an 11-month swimmer contract with an annual fee based on their swimmer's practice group.
- Novice, Age Group Prep, and Senior Bronze are offered in 3 to 4 month long sessions, without an annual contract.
- Swimmers in the Developmental Silver, Developmental Gold, and Age Group Bronze practice groups can resign with 60 days notice if they decide they do not wish to continue swimming.
- Swimmers who move away from the Hampton Roads area during the season are released from their contracts effective with their move dates. Family service hours obligation is prorated.
- All parents with swimmers in year round groups have a service (volunteer) hours obligation. The service hours obligation is PER FAMILY and is based on the highest level swimmer. The only groups that DO NOT have service hours obligations are Novice, Age Group Prep, and Senior Bronze.
- Swimmers who choose to participate in meets will be invoiced for their meet fees, explained HERE.
- All swimmers will be invoiced an annual $5 Safe4Athletes membership fee at registration.
- All swimmers are required to be members of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads
- USA Swimming membership is required of all swimmers. Parents will be directed to USA Swimming to pay for their swimmers' memberships during the registration process. Parents of returning swimmers can easily renew their swimmer's USA Swimming membership through their USA Swimming account.

YMCA Membership Fees
All members of TIDE Swim Team must also be members of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads.
Find out more about the current YMCA of South Hampton Roads membership fee schedule. The YMCA of South Hampton Roads waives the joining fee for TIDE swimmers. Members may use any of the YMCA facilities in South Hampton Roads. TIDE swimmers are encouraged to join at the facility in which they will practice.
Current YMCA monthly membership fees are $63 (individual), $78 (adult +1), and $93 (family).
