Notable Academic & Athletic accomplishments:
Class 5 & 6 State Champion for First Colonial Swim Team
4.1 GPA and 22nd in my class at First Colonial High School
Patriot Award winner (sportsmanship award) - junior year
I have been swimming for about 14 years

What is your first swimming memory?
My first ever time racing I raced the 50 backstroke at Mid-Town Aquatics center and I was in lane one. I was about 5 and I was swimming for TIDE. The entire time I was going down the pool I was smiling because my whole family was lined up on the side. After the race my grandpa said, "you were too busy smiling you forgot you were swimming!" Little did he know I was going to racing for the rest of my youth. It started off small, but today I still remember why I am swimming.

What has been your favorite moment on TIDE?
My favorite memory on TIDE was my training trip to the Olympic Training Center when I was 12. It felt amazing to be so young with all the seniors on that trip. I got to experience what it's like to train with Olympians and live like one too. While I was there, I saw Michael Phelps and Allison Schmitt. Not only was the swimming part of this trip a once in a lifetime opportunity, but the time I got to spend with my team was priceless.

What are your plans for Fall 2020 and beyond?
I plan to attend Virginia Tech in the fall of 2020. I will be studying Interior Design and hopefully move into Architecture in the following year. I will also be swimming for their wonderful swim team under amazing coaches and alongside some of my closest friends.

Love to win OR Hate to lose?
I love to win. Mostly because when you lose there is no adrenaline rush, it just happens.

Best advice you have received from TIDE teammate or coach?
The best advice I have received is to not let others affect your mood or what you do. You are your own person and your actions can make who you are. Don't let other people define you.

Who on the team best exemplifies TIDE Pride?
I think the person that best exemplifies TIDE pride is Gavin Lamoureux. He is always getting us together as a team and making us all realize what we are swimming for.

What will you miss the most about TIDE?
I will miss all the times outside of the pool. All the beach days, sleepovers, and team breakfasts will never fail to put a smile on my face.
