What is your first swimming memory?
My first swimming memory was when I was 6 years old swimming for the Kempsville Rec Center Stingrays. I was at my first meet and felt a little confused. After the meet I remember that I was so happy I got a ribbon.

What has been your favorite moment on TIDE?
My favorite moment on TIDE was the 757 Grand Illumination Invitational meet in 2019. That meet I got super close to many of the people in my group. I had some of the greatest swims of the year and had so much fun hanging out with my group all weekend long. Meets like that are the reason I still love swimming.

What are your plans for Fall 2020 and beyond?
Next year I plan to go to Eastern Carolina and study Atmospheric Sciences or Meteorology. I hope to get a PhD in Meteorology to be able to work for the Navy.

Love to win OR Hate to lose?
I hate to lose.

Off the pool deck - what are your favorite activities?
I love baking, doing puzzles, reading, and hanging out with my friends.

What is something unique about you that most people might not already know?
I have been canoeing competitively as a side sport since I was in fifth grade.

What advice would you give to younger TIDE teammates?
Make sure you pick your priorities because swimming isn't everything. There are so many great opportunities that you can be a part of.
